Some have a passion for reading while others have a disdain for it, some find joy in sports while others have no interest, and the list goes on. Apart from this variety, there are also many unique subcategories of individuals determined by their genetic makeup. The phrase ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’ has been reiterated so frequently that it is nearly a cliché.
However, there is substantial evidence backing up these two ideas concerning our initial responses to people’s looks. When encountering someone with distinct physical characteristics, people typically respond either positively or negatively depending on their attitudes towards particular traits such as eye color or height. We have a tendency to make assessments about individuals based on their appearance right from the initial meeting, even if those characteristics are not readily visible.
